VoIP 'plush for small companies'

IP telephony products are becoming increasingly attractive for small businesses as well as larger firms, it has been noted. Rebecca Buckman of the Wall Street Journal states that the functionality offered by VoIP phone systems is helping to level the playing field for small companies by allowing them to present a professional image to their customers for a fraction of the cost of traditional public branch exchanges. A number of companies are targeting small businesses that are looking to save on the cost of their business communications, Ms Buckman notes. On top of the cost savings, she states, business VoIP services are also allowing improved functionality and operational efficiency, as well as providing the flexibility needed for growing companies.
