SIP VoIP 'can save businesses money'

An expert has stated that deploying Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) VoIP solutions can offer a variety of advantages to small businesses. Making his comments to online news resource TMCnet, Eric Eckman, director of businesses development at Broadvox, said that taking advantage of such technology offers opportunities to save money. He added that SIP VoIP offers reduced costs per minute compared with TDM delivery, meaning it provides an almost immediate return on investment. The expert notes that in addition to reducing the costs of hardware and labour, SIP lowers the amount needed to be spent on administration, due to its effectiveness and convenience. "SMBs [small to medium-sized businesses] realise cost savings and profit margin increases while reducing man hours and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their communications by implementing SIP trunking," Mr Eckman concluded. Meanwhile, Samuel Schneider, marketing director at Bandwidth.com, recently stated that adopting VoIP can make small businesses seem more professional.  |
