Network management 'more complex'
 
Effective network management is becoming increasingly difficult, according to a newly released study.

The Juniper poll involved interviews with IT professionals at 600 businesses worldwide and identified key problem areas experienced in maintaining effective network solutions.

Network Solution's annual State of Networking survey revealed that 75 per cent of IT professionals reported difficulties in identifying causes of poor network performance, making this an increasingly big problem for the industry.

Last year, only 25 per cent of firms experienced such problems.

Meanwhile, the study also found that the number of firms using VoIP services had increased by five per cent, with two-thirds of businesses either currently using IP telephony services or planning to deploy such a system in the coming year, IT Week reports.

Elsewhere, CIO Today has announced that VoIP solutions are allowing businesses to deliver improved customer services and lower telecoms overheads.
