VoIP services are becoming increasingly popular among corporate establishments, business houses and call centres, a source has claimed. Kristenkiya, a blogger on ZDNet.co.uk, said VoIP enables such organisations to access next-generation telephony "without any hassle". Furthermore, it is claimed IP telephony services guarantee excellent call quality and unlike PTSN this can be across multiple sites. VoIP can also significantly reduce costs, especially for a contact centre as long distance calls are made at lesser rates. The blogger commented: "It can be said that corporate VoIP solutions and services are considered as perfect applications for lowering down the communication costs. "Moreover, the business users feel an essence of ease and comfort while using such solutions or services." Earlier this week it was claimed IP telephony makes long-distance and international calls "much easier". TMCnet reported VoIP was opening up the telecommunications industry in countries where it had previously been difficult or non-existent.
