Hosted comms 'make life easier' for business
 
Adopting hosted telecoms can bring benefits for business communications that can improve customer service and drive and respond to business growth, it has been noted.

Online resource for IT managers CIO Today has commented that hosted VoIP services can improve the way that businesses interact with clients.

An example cited by the publication is Franklin Machine Products, a growing US-based firm that deployed hosted VoIP services in response to commercial expansion.

Before the system was introduced, the reception was responsible for fielding an estimated 1,500 calls per day, with many going unanswered due to stretched resources.

With a VoIP system in place however, the company is able to route calls to an automated answering service that allows callers to leave a message, be placed in a queue or contact an alternative member of staff.

Online publication TMCnet also notes that VoIP systems are allowing companies to reduce business communications overheads and enabling a greater volume of international calls to be made at a lesser cost than those associated with legacy phone systems.
