Unified comms market 'developing'
 
Firms need to know how to adopt unified communications as the market develops and expands, according to a source.

eWeek.com reports more applications are being produced in the area, leading to more products tailored to certain job descriptions.

Many firms are now switching to unified communications, with many doing so to replace an old system.

However, many companies will do so because they have a customer-facing business which requires good communications.

According to the source each firm can adopt the technology to its advantage.

Contact centres are one way of making the technology work, as they can enhance customer relations.

Another benefit is that often no new employees have to be hired or facilities spent on.

Gartner has recently predicted the worldwide telecoms market is set to grow by 7.6 per cent this year.
