Future of telecommunications to be discussed

An event to look at the future of the international telecommunications industry is being held in Cardiff this week.

Running from September 16th to 19th at the University of Glamorgan, the Next Generation Mobile Applications, Services and Technologies conference will gather experts to discuss issues such as business communications and unified communications.

Khalid Al-Begain, event organiser and director of the university's Integrated Communications Research Centre, commented: "The conference will focus on all novel aspects of technology, application and service development within the mobile and wireless communications community."

Henry Tirri, vice-president and head of systems research at the Nokia Research Centre, highlighted the conference's focus on mobile communications and computing and the impact it will have on emerging technologies.

Yesterday, Precision Marketing reported that the Call Centre Expo 2008 at Birmingham's National Conference Centre will look at the issues facing the call and contact centre industry.
