More research promised for TEM

With telecoms expense management (TEM) becoming an increasingly pressing issue for business organisations, one major data analyst has announced that it will nearly triple the amount of research it conducts into reducing telecoms costs. AOTMP, a US-based analyst house, has identified TEM as a key topic to be addressed by businesses, telecoms providers and other IT services, with effective management becoming more difficult every day. Tim Lybrook, AOTMP president and chief executive officer, explains the need for effective management of business communications: "[Firms] want best practice advice on how to tackle challenges like growing wireless mobility, they want to know how others companies are addressing these issues and they want tangible benchmark data." Elsewhere, industry specialist Expansion Plus has asserted that TEM is of growing importance to firms looking to combat the effects of tightened global economic conditions. TEM can bring dramatic savings on telecoms costs, as well as offering improved productivity and profitability, the firm stated.
