Citizens Advice appoints Azzurri for WAN service

Azzurri Communications has been selected by Citizens Advice to provide a fully managed Wide Area Network (WAN) service. With the WAN service, Citizen Advice employees will be able to communicate with each other and share information and the system can also be expanded to include new services such as remote access. Brian Handley, head of ICT development at Citizens Advice, said: "Last year we had the opportunity to review our entire IT strategy, which not only enabled us to identify where efficiency savings could be made but also led us to consider our requirements for the long-term." He added that it was clear that the organisation needed a managed service which could "support the development of our network". The MPLS WAN and bandwidth management of Azzurri ensures that speeds are delivered which can deliver business critical applications. Citizens Advice helps people resolve legal, money and other problems and gives free information and advice from over 3,000 locations. Azzurri is helping organisations combine services and applications for converged and efficient communications.  |
