Mobile communications will begin to dominate in an increasingly global environment in the coming months, it has been suggested. Such is the premier prediction of CNBC in its analysis of mobile communications in the European business market. The second forecast made is that increasingly, mobile connectivity will become more complex, with multi-function devices allowing for unified communications. "The third major trend that will start to affect European companies in 2007 is the continued convergence of IT and telecoms," the publication continues. So too, mobile communications will become increasingly bandwidth-heavy as people use portable devices for more and more services. Businesses will also look to adopt 3G services for their mobile workforces, allowing them to stay connected with the office while on the move. A recent report by Gartner demonstrated that global sales of mobile communications devices increased 16 per cent in 2007.
