Economist: We're all nomads now

In its recent special report on the rise of mobile communications, the Economist has asserted that businesses are becoming increasingly nomadic in their approach to connectivity and commercial operations. "This new model of nomadic work has become technologically feasible only very recently," the resource notes, with the rapid emergence of Wi-Fi technology allowing mobile phones to be synchronised with email and internet services. As a result, firms of all sizes are beginning to conduct business in dramatically altered ways, with some firms realising operations can be managed without the need for a centralised office environment.
