Blackberry is 'better for business users'

Blackberry devices's have an advantage over iPhones as users can edit documents on them, according to an expert.

The iPhone has a "massive, massive issue" in that business users are not able to alter Microsoft documents on the device, says CNET.

Andrew Lim, mobile phones editor for the firm, states: "A lot of people want to edit Excel sheets or Word files and all different sorts of documents and they can't."

He said the application is a "need to have feature" and could pose a major barrier to business uptake of Apple's device.

Mr Lim added the tool is particularly needed by those on-the-go who need to alter documents.

He stated at present the iPhone is more geared towards leisure than business, despite the manufacturers attempting to boost take up of the device in the latter market.

Research in Motion, the developers of the Blackberry, shipped 3.9 million devices in the third quarter, adding 1.65 million subscribers.
