Azzurri allied with flooring company in business communications deal

Allied Carpets is set to improve its business communications after agreeing a five year, multi-million pound deal with Azzurri Communications.

The carpet and flooring firm will receive a fully managed service from Azzurri as it upgrades its mobile, voice and data communications.

It will result in convergence of its entire telecommunications infrastructure, linking contact centre operations with its 225 outlets, head office and distribution centres across the country.

Ken Moss, IT controller at Allied Carpets, said the retailer had been seeking a long-term partner to consolidate its networking needs under one contract.

"With Azzurri," he continued, "we are able to bring together our entire communications estate under one roof, using best-of-breed technologies and safe in the knowledge that the continued evaluation of our business processes means we'll benefit from the most cost-effective and competitive IT strategy".

ITPro.com speculates the deal will cost Allied Carpets nearly £1 million per year for the first three years.
