Clients 'will benefit' from VoIP switch

Switching to VoIP may be difficult for companies but users will benefit, it has been suggested.

Business communications costs should be cut while clients will also be pleased by features like voicemails being delivered to their email inboxes, Debra Shinder said.

Recommendations for how best to deal with the transition have been made by Mrs Shinder on the TechRepublic website.

She has first of all advised responsibility for the change should be put to staff who have knowledge of VoIP services and can recommend appropriate providers.

Recent research has found increasing numbers of businesses across the world are moving to a VoIP system.

The European market is growing particularly quickly, a global VoIP update by iLocus discovered.
