The Sales Director is a senior member of the management team working in a leadership role under the direction of the Northern Sales Director.   Responsible for a gross profit target, the Sales Director will need to recruit, induct, train and manage a team to deliver this figure.  In addition, the Sales Director will need to ensure outstanding sales and service support is provided to all Digital Print Customers and to act as an escalation point internally and externally with Customers and Suppliers.  The Sales Director will be responsible for the development, growth and commercial success of the Digital Print Customer base and will need to ensure a consistent increase in new revenue opportunities, via the execution of a New Business Strategy.

1.  Commercial Management
„X Achievement of all financial targets in accordance with business needs
„X Ensure all team members understand how to maximise GP from deals and deliver this consistently
„X Timetable for effective contract renewal
„X Act as Commercial Negotiator in complex sales
„X Completing management reporting to include accurate and timely forecasting

2. Opportunity Management
„X Ensuring the generation of effective sales appointments and quotations, via training, timetabling and assistance
„X Dealing with Customer escalations where necessary and transferring issues into opportunities
„X Ensuring all team members have accurate and effective Account Development Plans for their top accounts, which will be instrumental in Account growth

4. Relationship Management
„X With Senior Directors
„X Peer to Peer
„X With Service Management Team
„X With Customers
„X With Suppliers
„X With Leasing Companies

5. People Management
„X Leadership and motivation of SAM’s and CSAM’s
„X Leadership and motivation of customer contacts
„X Responsible for expenses, mileage and commission claims
„X Planning of team resource to ensure customer service is not negatively impacted
„X Development of team to ensure succession planning is in place
